KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia is offering its streamyx GradPack package, which targets college and university students, until Dec 31.

Subscribers will enjoy broadband service at a lower rate, as well as receive some free goodies, according to the telecommunications giant.

GradPack offers two Internet service packages � 384Kbps (kilobits per second) for RM50 a month or 1Mbps (megabit per second) for RM100 monthly.

The students who subscribe will get a free modem, and a streamyx Zone ID which grants them wireless access at more than 1,300 hotspots nationwide.

TM is also waiving its RM75 activation and RM88 installation fees for GradPack users.

Also, subscribers of the 1Mbps package will get access to music portal Hypptunes, video service HyppTV and the Rose Online Evolution massively multiplayer online role-playing game for three months.

In addition to that, they will get a TM�Manchester United special-edition T-shirt for free.

Students who want to subscribe to GradPack must present their student ID at any TMpoint, TMpoint Authorised Dealership (TAD) outlet, or TM authorised reseller nationwide.

Backing up registry would help you to restore the changes you will make and would save you from a lot of headache later on. To create a backup of registry, navigate to File and click on Export. This will create a backup of your registry which can be restored again.

Click on Start button in the taskbar and navigate to Run. Type "regedit" without quotes in it and press enter. Now on the left panel, navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Expand it and navigate to SYSTEM. Then navigate to CurrentControlSet. In it expand NetBT. Navigate to Parameters. Now in the right panel locate TransportBindName. Just double click it and delete the default value which currently is Devices.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> System --> CurrentControlSet --> NetBT --> Parameters --> TransportBindName

Now navigate again to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. In it locate Softwares. Now go to Microsoft and expand it. Locate Ole in it. Now in the right panel just locate the value EnableDCOM. The default value in would be Y. Double click it and make the default value N. Now just close Registry Editor and restart the machine. Connect to Internet and voila the net now no longer gets disconnected.

You could also have changed the values of NetBIOS but generally changing the values of these two parameters would eliminate the problem for all. You would not be required to change those values.

Well, things have changed a little bit, havent they? Today, who you choose for your Internet service directly impacts the quality and speed youre going to get. Dont get me wrong ?whichever broadband high-speed service you choose is going to best internet provider light years ahead of any dial-up connection you might have.

But over at my DigitalTVDojo blog, one of the things I like to do from time to time is to do speed runs?on the various services available (Its a geek thing.) because there ARE differences ?even if theyre tiny. The other day I did one of these speed tests on Comcast Cable Internet and Road Runner High Speed Online from Time Warner just to test the claims the two companies were making about how fast their products really are. Heres cheap internet I found?/p>

It was easy to verify what Comcast was saying, because I have the service myself. I headed over to Bandwidthplace.com to see if they were full of it, and Im happy to say that theyre not. In fact, according to Bandwidthplace, my connection is smoking at 7.6 Mbps, which is even faster than Comcast officially says it is (cool!). What does this mean in the real world? I can download a typical song thats around four minutes in under one second. Pretty sweet.

Time Warner takes a different approach. While Comcast throws stats out at you, Time Warner actually shows you how fast their service is. (I have pictures of this up at my blog ?dont forget the link is below. And dont forget you can find out how to save a couple hundred bucks there, too.)

Heres how Road Runner High Speed Online shakes out. Its a bit slower than Comcast at a stated 5 Mbps. But in the real world, what difference does that make? Youre still going to be downloading huge files in seconds. And against a typical dial-up connection, the comparison is downright stupid! A typical webpage with graphics will take around 21 seconds on a dial-up connection, while it takes less than a second with Time Warner. And with videos, for example, its even crazier ?a typical video clip will take fastest broadband minutes to download with a 56k modem, and only seven SECONDS with Time Warner. That really put it in perspective for me.

The city centre of Barcelona is a myriad of winding streets and open boulevards, all with fantastic shopping on offer. And the city centre is fairly void of Tmtouch save a few major avenues, making your stroll through the Gothic Quarter, or down the famous Las Ramblas strip to the port even easier, especially if you're travelling with little ones in tow - and I can compare that to say Rome, which anyone will tell you is crazy!

However, there are some great shops for kids along your travels which I Tmpoint might not necessarily be found so easily on your own, so here's a little help.

First up is Lefties. Satellite High Speed Internet is the outlet store from the mega Spanish brand Zara, and has some fantastic bargains on offer, in both footwear for children and funky, fashionable clothing, too. This is all indoors, and close to the city's Aquarium and IMAX Cinema, too, making it a worthwhile trip for any family, especially a Sunday, where it's one of the few places where shops are open.

A game concept statement, or premise, is a short, direct description of the situation of a game. It describes the player's goal, the opposition to that goal, and the means through which that goal will be accomplished. When dealing solely with the narrative portion of the script, the game concept statement reads like a screenplay pitch. Realistically, game play is described because it effects some elements of the storytelling. A short example might read as follows:

"In Trick or Treat the player characters have been trapped in the labyrinth of an ancient haunted house. They must escape by destroying adversarial monsters, avoiding traps, and solving the maze. Trick or Treat is a third person perspective action game."

The goal of this writing is to give the reader a sense for the game. It should answer these basic questions:

• What is the goal of the game?
• How is the goal of the game accomplished?
• What are the challenges to the game?
• Where does the game take place?

Most people want to add marketing jargon and implementation specifics. This is simply a mistake. Reporting that is it is the best game ever, or that it will be available for the PS10 in 2020 just does not strengthen a concept. To put it bluntly, ths statement is about the concept. Concepts are general, high level notions. The concept of a car, for example, did not begin with the use of carbon fiber at the Indianapolis 500.

Do not include the following elements in a your writing:

• Game platform (e.g. for the NES because I'm retro-chic)
• Game rating (e.g. "M" for mature)
• Game play specifics (e.g. controls)
• Game programming details (e.g. uses recursive algorithms for anti virus programs
• Marketing (e.g. "more exciting than a ride on a roller coaster")

There are exceptions to every rule. There are times when it is important to add implementation details. These are exceptionally rare situations, such as a game designed solely to exploit a new type of controller or for use on a non-standard game platform. In these cases, it makes sense to touch upon the distinguishing detail.
